Mom Plot And Storyline
The series chronicles the life of Christy Plunkett (played by Anna Faris) who is starting a new life in Napa Valley after battling substance abuse and alcoholism. As well as working as a waitress and trying to get her life back on track, Christy has to deal with a number of personal issues including a mother who is also recovering from drug addiction and a daughter who became pregnant during her teenage years. Despite being a dramedy series, the show deals with a number of serious issues including drug addiction and relapse, alcoholism, teenage pregnancy, homelessness, domestic violence, gambling addiction as well as cancer.
