Thursday, November 21st, 2013

Nashville is a musical drama TV series which debuted on ABC in October’ 2012. The series was developed by Callie Khouri, the winner of best screenplay Academy award for Thelma & Louise, and produced by Gaylord Entertainment and Lionsgate Television in conjunction with ABC Studios. Nashville has garnered wide critical acclaim (Metacritic score of 84) and the series even won “Most Exciting New Series” award during the 2012 edition of Critics’ Choice awards. ABC renewed the series for its second season in summer 2013 and the series made its seasonal debut in September’ 2013.

Nashville Plot And Storyline

Nashville explores the conflict between Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), the 40 year old country music legend whose star is fading, and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), a rising teenage star and best selling singer. Rayna’s latest album is not a bestseller and her tour venues are not packed with screaming fans any more so her record label proposes a joint tour with Juliette. However, Rayna rejects the offer since she doesn’t like Juliette’s style of music. The friction between the two stars gets out of hand when both of them try to rope in the guitarist Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten), Rayna’s former boyfriend and bandmate, for their individual tours.

Nashville Broadcast Schedule And Availability

Nashville is telecast during Wednesday nights on the ABC TV channel. The full episodes of the series are even available online through the official ABC website (abc.go.com/shows/nashville). However, due to licensing restrictions, ABC does not allow international visitors (non-US viewers) to watch the show online. When international viewers (including US tourists and expats) try to access the series from abroad, they just see the error message – “You appear to be outside the United States or its territories. Due to international rights agreements, we only offer this video to viewers located within the United States and its territories”.

How ABC Blocks Nashville Online And How To Get Rid Of Such Restrictions?

Just like other content providers, ABC has partnered with many international TV channels to distribute its shows (such as Nashville) outside America. Due to the content sharing deals signed by ABC and its partners, the international content providers gain the right to broadcast the show in their territories and at the same time, ABC loses the right to broadcast the show outside USA. As a part of the content sharing agreement, ABC is also required to block international visitors (people with non-US IP addresses) from accessing Nashville online.

If you are a big fan of Nashville and want to access the show from outside US, you need to get a US IP address from an IP changing service provider. There are plenty of proxy and VPN providers online that allow you to change your IP address to a US IP for a small fee. Even though proxies are cheap and convenient, VPNs are more suited for unlocking streaming services online since they deliver top notch streaming speeds as well as protect your real IP address at all times.

How To Unlock Nashville From Anywhere With A VPN

Step 1: Sign up with a VPN service that delivers US IP addresses. In order to unlock Nashville from outside US, we recommend subscribing to HIDEIPVPN, VPN4ALL, BolehVPN, VyprVPN or PureVPN. These providers have years of experience in delivering a reliable US VPN service plus they provide unrestricted speed and bandwidth with every VPN subscription.

Step 2: Once you have subscribed to a US VPN plan, you need to configure the service on your mobile, router or computer. This can be done either manually or by using the VPN client provided by your VPN vendor. However, it needs to be mentioned here that not every VPN company offers a proprietary client and even when the client is available; it just works on handful of operating systems like Windows and Mac.

Step 3: Save the connection details and then reboot the system if necessary. In addition, you need to close and restart ABC Player on your Smartphone or tablet so that it stops using the old connection and connects to the ABC site with the new connection parameters.

Step 4: Click on the VPN connection name (or tap the Connect option on your Smartphone/table) to start using the service. The time needed to connect to the service would depend on your location and existing internet speed so be prepared to wait for some time if you have a slow connection or if you are trying to connect to the service from a distant location.

Step 5: After the connection is successful, the next step is to check the location of your new IP address. Since most big VPN vendors have servers spread across the globe, it is indeed possible that you may be assigned a non-US IP address when you first connect to the service. In such an instance, you need to switch to a US server manually by looking at the available list of servers and choosing a US server as your VPN server of choice. Also, remember to choose a US server that is located nearest to your current address so that you can enjoy ABC shows at best speeds.

Step 6: Visit the Nashville page on the ABC portal and click on the recent episode names in order to unlock them. To enjoy the full episodes of the series on your mobile devices, remember to close and restart the ABC Player app after choosing a US IP address. Congratulations, you can now enjoy Nashville and its music from any location in the world.
