How To Watch ESPN3 Online Streams Outside the USA

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013

ESPN3 (earlier known as ESPN360 and ESPN3.com) is a premium online streaming service from ESPN Inc. The service broadcasts live streams of current sporting events as well as replays of earlier events through its website (espn.go.com/watchespn). Even though ESPN3 is available in several countries like USA, Brazil, Middle East, Australia, Europe (except Italy), Chile and New Zealand; the live streams and programs are only available within the United States.

ESPN3 Availability and Limitations

ESPN3 is not only available for Smart TVs and computers; it is also accessible through iOS and Android devices with the help of native apps. The ESPN3 service delivers live streams from ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN2 and ESPN3 simultaneously as well as provides sports highlights and analysis through programs like SportsNation, Baseball Tonight, SportsCenter, PTI and Mike & Mike. The ESPN3 streaming service is a great way to watch NBA Playoffs, MLB, College Basketball and Football, Grand Slams, US Open, The Masters and The Open Championships along with hundreds of other sporting events.

Just like many other streaming video providers, ESPN uses the IP address of its visitors to determine their current location. Depending on the location, the visitors are allowed or blocked from accessing the ESPN3 service. This presents a severe challenge for expats and tourists who rely on ESPN3 website for their daily dose of sporting events.

Unblock Your IP and Enable Content

Since the blockage of ESPN3 service depends on your IP address, it is easy to circumvent such restrictions by using an IP changing service that can provide you with a US IP address. As far as IP changing services are concerned, proxies and Virtual private networks are often referred to as the best options. Proxies are easy to use and they allow you to unlock ESPN3 from anywhere. However most proxy connections are not reliable plus they are not able to deliver high speeds required to watch live sporting events.

Virtual private networks offer a far better solution to unlock ESPN3 from abroad. VPNs deliver lightening fast speeds plus they do not leak your real IP address like some of the proxy servers do so they are ideal for watching ESPN3 live streams from outside of US. Moreover, VPNs are quite simple to configure on a variety of devices like iPhones, iPads, Android tablets and Smartphones, laptops, Smart TVs and even some gaming consoles like Xbox 360 and PlayStation.

You need to signup with Yahoo/AT&T then you can select AT&T from the provider dropdown and log into your new email as authentication.

That;s the other block you run into, other than country IP filtering.

    Hope that helps 🙂

You still have to input an IP address from the drop down menu at the ESPN3 site and select from that list. Then sign in with a username and password for the Internet Provider. So, no go.
