Anonine is a subsidiary of Portlane AB, a Sweden based company. Launched in 2009, the company aims to deliver a totally safe and anonymous browsing environment to its users. The team behind Anonine has several years of experience in networking, encryption and security which reflects in their products. In the Anonine VPN review below, we check out all the features of the service and decide if it is worth subscribing.

Server Locations and Site Access

Anonine has its VPN servers in just one country – Sweden. While the minimal choice of server locations would indeed disappoint most users, the service is ideal for those who wish to unlock Swedish streaming services, sports and live events, bank portals and shopping sites from anywhere. So if you want to access services like Spotify, Rara, Eurosport, MTV Sweden, WimpMusic, Voddler and SVTPlay online irrespective of your current location then Anonine would be a good choice for you. The service would also help you to bypass firewalls imposed by many governments (such as China, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain) or organizations and unblock Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Skype and YouTube without revealing your identity or IP address.

VPN Speed and Bandwidth

Anonine delivers extraordinary speeds and unrestricted bandwidth to its customers. The company has chosen not to impose any kind of speed or bandwidth limits on its VPN plans which means customers are free to enjoy streaming movies, downloads, VOIP and gaming without fearing about hitting monthly limits.

Privacy Settings

Anonine uses 2048 bit SSL encryption for its OpenVPN plans and 128 bit encryption for PPTP plans. The level of security offered is good enough for most online activities like emailing, messaging, FTP, VOIP and browsing. For those who are concerned about their privacy while using Wi-Fi networks at airports, public parks, malls, hotels and universities; the company offers excellent hotspot protection to safeguard personal data such as passwords, social accounts and financial information while keeping hackers and cyber criminals away.

The company does not keep logs for users’ browsing sessions so your personal details are never compromised. Moreover, the company does not rent or sell user information to advertisers or third parties.

Supported Operating Systems

Anonine VPN service is compatible with most operating systems and devices including desktops and laptops running on Windows, Mac and Linux; Android based tablets and Smartphones as well as iPads and iPhones. It is easy to setup the service since there is no installation required and the company provides detailed setup instructions for each device and operating system.

Customer Support

The company offers support through an email based support system. The company has also published detailed troubleshooting instructions on its website which makes it easy to resolve common VPN errors without having to contact the official support team.

Pricing Options

Anonine VPN plans are priced according to the protocol that you choose. The PPTP plans start from 34 Swedish Krona (about $5.15 per month) while the OpenVPN plans start from 42 Swedish Krona (about $6.5 per month). The company does not offer free trials or refunds so the only way to test the service is to subscribe to its monthly plan.

Final Verdict

Overall, Anonine delivers a better than average VPN service. While the service does not offer many options as far as server locations are concerned, it does deliver great speeds and security to its customers. So if you are looking for a Europe based VPN service provider that provides excellent service, don’t forget to check out the VPN plans from Anonine. I wasn’t sure about Anonine as this was the new one for me. But I decided to try and purchased 1 month subscription. Now I’m completely happy because the speed is great, the diversity of server locations is very wide and generally this service works without a hitch. So I’m going to purchase for a year and I’m sure it will not be a mistake.

    A few words in support.
Sometimes come to China on business matters. You all know how bad in China with the freedom of the Internet. Anonine only helps, although I have tried many different VPN including paid.

I tried Anonine and did not like the lack of IPSEC support. PPTP is just not secure enough.
